  • Preparation for Korea Project: Explored opportunities to serve marginalized children from multicultural backgrounds in Korea.

  • Partnership established with ACA (Amerasian Christian Academy) in Dongducheon, Korea.

  • Sep–Nov (Korea): After-school drum classes conducted at ACA (by Jangwon Seo, Shinae Yoo).

  • Sep–Oct (Korea): Violin classes conducted at ACA (by Jihae Yoo).

 

2015

  • Launch of Love Jordan Concert (Jordan): Community-based concert initiated.

  • IDEAS-IMAN partnership formed in Jordan through Sooyoung Lee.

  • Sep–Dec (Korea): General music classes for grades 1–6 at ACA (by Sangwon Shin).

  • Dec (Korea): ACA Christmas Concert held.

 

2016

  • Syrian Refugee Crisis (Canada): 44,000 Syrian refugees entered Canada.

  • Jun (Canada): Canada Music & Arts Network Society (CMAN) established (Director: James Lee).

  • Sep (Canada): Saturday music classes began at Middle East Friendship Center (MEFC) (led by Nicole Sam).

  • Sep (Jordan): General music education began at AAJ (by Yoojin Cho).

  • Instrument donation (Jordan): Violin and other instruments donated.

  • Music camp (Jordan): AAJ music camp held.

  • LJC 2016 (Jordan): Love Jordan Concert 2016 held.

  • Mar–Jun (Korea): General music classes at ACA for grades 1–6 (by Sangwon Shin).

  • Jul (Korea): ACA Summer Music Camp (by Sangwon Shin).

  • Sep–Dec (Korea): General music classes at ACA for grades 1–6 (by Hansun Kim).

  • Dec (Korea): ACA Christmas Concert held.

  • Dec (Canada): CMAN Christmas Concert held.

2017

  • Feb– (Jordan): Violin classes began at AAJ (approx. 30 students).

  • Instrument donation (Jordan): Piano donated to Zarqa Cultural Center.

  • LJC 2017 (Jordan): Love Jordan Concert 2017 held.

  • 2017–19 (Canada): Weekly Saturday music classes continued at MEFC; mission training, summer music camps, and Christmas concerts continued.

  • 2017–19 (Korea): General music classes continued at ACA for grades 1–6 (by Hansun Kim)

2018

  • Start of M&M Middle East Project: Launched M&M Project in Lebanon.

  • Mar (Lebanon): Request for music education for Syrian refugee children at Living Water Center.

  • M&M Project confirmed: Commitment to team-based long-term missions.

  • Aug (Lebanon): Bangbae Hana M&M (Music & Mission) established.

  • Sep–Oct (Lebanon): Bangbae M&M exploratory trip (David Ko, Jungjin Ha, Dohyung Kim).

  • Oct (Lebanon): Bangbae M&M decided to join music education program for Syrian refugee children.

  • LJC 2018 (Jordan): Love Jordan Concert 2018 held.

  • 2018–19 (Jordan): Ongoing general and instrumental music education at AAJ.

 

2019

  • Mar–Jun (Lebanon): Music education for Syrian refugee children (by Areum Yoo, Bangbae M&M).

  • Jun (Korea): Hansun Kim resigned from ACA.

  • Sep–Dec (Lebanon): Music education for Syrian refugee children (by Isaac Shin, Bangbae M&M).

 

2020-21 (Pandemic)

  • Closure of Living Water Center (Lebanon): Music classes suspended, center relocated.

  • Suspension of AAJ music program (Jordan): Due to pandemic.

  • Suspension of ACA music program (Korea): Due to pandemic.

  • Decision to implement choir classes (Korea): Transition to long-term choir instruction.

  • Closure of MEFC Saturday program (Canada): Operator moved to another province.

  • Online education launched (Canada): Piano, Taekwondo, and art classes offered online.

  • Refugee family goodie bag drive (Canada): Distributed daily necessities and school supplies.

 

2022

  • New M&M launch (Lebanon): Co-Director Hyungwon Ko initiated a new M&M.

  • Jun (Lebanon): Exploratory trip (Hyungwon Ko, Dohyung Kim).

  • Jul (Lebanon): Younggeol Kim (Revival Korea team) joined IMAN as music teacher.

  • AAJ project ended (Jordan): Project officially closed.

  • Violin teacher dispatched (Jordan): Jiyeong Moon sent.

  • Heekyung Park joined (Jordan): Accepted into IMAN.

  • Sep–Dec (Korea): Choir class for middle/high school students at ACA (by Namjoon Kim).

  • Oct– (Korea): Junghee Jin began volunteering as piano accompanist at ACA.

  • Online education continued (Canada).

  • Resumption of offline education (Canada): House visits for instruction.

  • Resumption of Saturday music classes (Canada): Rented music studio for classes.

  • Fellowship with refugee families (Canada): Home visits, tea time, dinners, and outings.

 

2023

  • Mar–Jun (Lebanon): Music education conducted (by Younggeol Kim).

  • Sep (Lebanon): Decision to develop a 1-year curriculum for Syrian refugee children.

  • Sep–Dec (Lebanon): Curriculum developed (by Younggeol Kim).

  • Mar–Jun (Korea): ACA choir class for middle/high school students continued (by Namjoon Kim).

  • May (Korea): ACA Talent Show held.

  • Dec (Korea): ACA Christmas Concert held.

  • Online education continued (Canada).

  • Summer music camp (Canada): CMAN Summer Music Camp held.

2024

  • Mar (Lebanon): Dohyung Kim began concurrent role as Lebanon Project Manager.

  • May (Lebanon): First semester curriculum development completed (by Dohyung Kim).

  • Jo Yujin joined (Jordan): Appointed as IMAN Middle East Project Manager.

  • IDEAS-IMAN partnership reaffirmed (Jordan): Through Jo Yujin.

  • Mar–Jun (Korea): ACA choir class for middle/high school students continued (by Namjoon Kim).

  • Online education continued (Canada).

  • Summer picnic (Canada): CMAN picnic held (July 8).
